After airport scuffle, Raymart Santiago, Ramon Tulfo continue fight in court
A day after figuring in a scuffle at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), actor Raymart Santiago and columnist Ramon Tulfo are holding the next round of their "fight" in court.
On Monday, Tulfo went to Pasay City Hall to lodge a complaint against Santiago and his wife, actress Claudine Barretto, and several "John Does," for physical injuries.
In an interview over radio dzBB, Tulfo's lawyer Mario General said: "Definitely, we're going to file a criminal case against husband and wife, and John Does for physical injuries."
General said they are just waiting for the final medical report of Tulfo.
Meanwhile, in a separate radio dzBB report, Santiago said he also intends to file a complaint against Tulfo for physical injury and coercion.
When asked in an interview if he intends to sue Tulfo, Santiago said, "Opo (yes)."
Tulfo and Santiago engaged in a fight at the NAIA-3 Sunday afternoon after Tulfo started taking footage of Barretto as she was complaining to a Cebu Pacific attendant about their baggage, which was not loaded on their flight from Boracay.
Santiago claimed that Tulfo tried to punch him when he approached him and asked why he was taking footage.
On the other hand, Tulfo claimed that Santiago and his companions ganged up on him.
PO2 Joel Landicho of the Pasay City police said they have obtained statements from Tulfo and the Santiagos.
"Ito tinatawag nating complaint against complaint, meron silang kanya-kanyang alegasyon," Landicho said. - VVP/HS, GMA News

Boracay races attract celebs
Stars displayed an exemplary level of athleticism at the recent Skyathon 2012 on Boracay. Three celebrities figured among top finishers in the foot races held along the famous coastline in Aklan.
TV host Rovilson Fernandez beat 64 others in the men’s 10-kilometer division and placed 10th, clocking in at 55:09.45. Actor and race car driver Mateo Guidicelli was 8th in the men’s 5-km race, finishing in less than 23 minutes, faster than 69 participants.
Sexy actress and former “Survivor” castaway Aubrey Miles surprised spectators with her swift strides; she finished 9th in the women’s 5-km division at 37 minutes, beating 53 others.
Other stars in the event, now on its third year, included: Miles’ partner Troy Montero, Brazilian-Japanese model Daniel Matsunaga and actor Will Devaughn. The three hunks ran in the 5-km race and all clocked in at under 30 minutes.
Sky Cable has organized Skyathon for the last three years. These are the only foot races held on Boracay to raise funds for the clean-up of one of the country’s top tourist destinations. The aim of the event is to spread awareness of the importance of preserving one of the best beaches in the world.
This year, 253 individual runners and 12 pairs (for the couples relay) joined the races.
Guidicelli participated as spokesperson for the direct-selling company Boardwalk, one of the sponsors. The Inquirer was a media partner this year.
Unlike the last two years, visitors from Manila trounced the locals this time around.
Long-distance race veteran Gregg Osorio led the men’s 10-km race while Team Runner Academy coach Mherlz Lumagbas dominated the women’s 10-km division.
Fairview Running Club members Rogie Ascano and Francesca Carpo topped the 5-km divisions for men and women, respectively.
Skyathon 2012 culminated in “Gold Rush,” a gold-themed party at the Juice bar in Station 2 to fete the podium finishers and participants. The celebrity runners gamely joined tourists in the evening’s activities.

Boracay Island to get larger water pipe as demand grows
Boracay Island Water Company on Monday said it would complete within the first quarter an underwater pipeline to meet the growing demand for potable water in the island resort.
The kilometer-long, 400-mm pipeline is expected to be operational ahead of the Holy Week early next month, when droves of local and foreign tourists usually overwhelm the island.
The local government of Malay, Aklan, expects at least a million tourists to visit Boracay this year, from 908,874 last year.
The 400-mm pipeline — built at a cost of P126 million — will support the old 250-mm pipeline that currently provides water to the island resort from the larger Panay island.
