Chili Peppers Perform In Flea's Back Garden

The gig was a fundraiser for Flea's music school

The band played a set at Flea's house on his 50th birthday to raise money for the Silverlake Conservatory Of Music, of which he is a co-founder and occasional lecturer.

NME reports that the star-studded audience included actors Owen Wilson and Ed Norton along with the band's producer Rick Rubin and there were also performances from singer Ben Harper and punk act Rancid.

Flea told the crowd: "It's been kind of an overwhelming experience for me. It feels really meaningful and poignant to have everybody come out and support."

Red Hot Chili Peppers played:

'Can't Stop'
'Snow (Hey Oh)'
'Monarchy of Roses'
'Soul to Squeeze'
'The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie'
'Right on Time'
'Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere'
'Give It Away'
'By the Way'
