The gig was a fundraiser for Flea's music school
The band played a set at Flea's house on his 50th birthday to raise money for the Silverlake Conservatory Of Music, of which he is a co-founder and occasional lecturer.
NME reports that the star-studded audience included actors Owen
Wilson and Ed Norton along with the band's producer Rick Rubin and there
were also performances from singer Ben Harper and punk act Rancid.
Flea told the crowd: "It's been kind of an overwhelming
experience for me. It feels really meaningful and poignant to have
everybody come out and support."
