WATCH: Zuckerberg shares story of Filipina factory worker helped by Internet.org

Another Filipina was the subject of a video posted by Facebook founder and chief executive officer Mark Zuckerberg for using Internet.org.

The video, which runs for more than a minute, shows a Filipina named Marissa who works in a factory but dreams to start her own business selling dolls.

“Everyday at the factory is the same. I work long hours. But I also have dreams of my own,” Marissa said in the video.

“Someday, I’ll be a businesswoman,” she said, adding that she has started saving what she earns from the factory as capital.

Marissa said she uses Internet.org to “find great sales” to help her build her dream business.

“If you see me in 10, years, you won’t recognize me,” she said.

The video of Marissa came days after the video of Filipina Riza Mae Tachado was featured by Zuckerberg for finishing her degree with the help of Internet.org.

Internet.org offers free data connectivity through service providers like Smart, Globe, and Sun Cellular.

“Being connected means having opportunity. We’re connecting the world so one day everyone can fulfill their dreams — just like Marissa,” Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post that accompanied Marrisa’s video. CDG

Mark Zuckerberg’s chilly charity challenge to Bill Gates

WASHINGTON — Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has become the latest celebrity to be doused by a bucket of ice-cold water — and now he wants Bill Gates to follow suit.

Aimed at raising awareness and cash for the fight against Lou Gehrig’s disease, the Ice Bucket Challenge has become a viral craze in the United States in recent weeks.

It involves celebrities soaking themselves in icy water before challenging other well-known personalities to do the same — or else make a donation to the ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) Foundation, which heads the fight against Lou Gehrig’s.

Zuckerberg, who was nominated for the challenge by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, laughed as he tipped the ice over himself before daring Microsoft titan Bill Gates, to do the same.

He also challenged Facebook executive Sheryl Sandberg and Netflix director Reed Hastings to follow suit.

“You guys have 24 hours to complete the challenge or you have to donate to the ALS foundation — or both,” he said.

Television star Jimmy Fallon, singer Justin Timberlake and actor Mickey Rourke, along with several sports stars have all taken the challenge in recent weeks.

Even the 86-year-old widow of Robert Kennedy, Ethel Kennedy, has taken the challenge — urging President Barack Obama to follow suit. Obama declined, but made a donation instead.

According to the ALS, the scheme has raised $5.7 million since its launch on July 29.

Green Day's Billie Jo Armstrong Reportedly Entertained Guests At Mark Zuckerberg's Wedding

Filthy rich celebs and wealthy oil tycoons are known to hire famous musicians to serenade them at their weddings and birthday parties, whether it’s Jennifer Lopez, Sting or even George Michael. So who does one of the richest men in the world, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, book for his wedding? Why Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong of course!

Zuckerberg and his girlfriend of nine years, Priscilla Chan, tied the knot over the weekend at their home in Palo Alto, Calif., during what was an already monumental time for the couple, with Zuckerberg taking Facebook public on Friday and Chan recently graduating from medical school.

While there’s no way to be sure it’s Armstrong since the TMZ footage provides no visual other than the barricading bushes – just audio of the incident – his voice has become rather unmistakable at the point in his career.

“Mark wanted me to play this song,” states a voice that sounds an awful lot like Armstrong’s. Street traffic blocks some of the conversation before he can be heard continuing, “They are gonna dance, they’re gonna dance. This song is one that I wrote for my wife of 18 years — it better be for her, or I’d be in deep trouble. This song is called ‘Last Man on Earth.’” (The song is track number seven off Green Day's ’09 release 21st Century Breakdown).

The crowd then erupted into cheers before (presumably) Armstrong can be heard crooning, “Sending all my love to you / You are the light of my life every night / Giving all my love to you, all of you / If I lose in a fire, sending all my love to you.”
